There are many causes for deforestation during colonial rule:-
Firstly that time industrial revolution was going on increase in the demand of raw materials. where trees served as an excellent choice for them
Secondly they ported from India to Britain for there uses.
thirdly for making sleepers of railway and furniture for common use also as a fuel for the industry which are developing around.
