1.The image of Bharat Mata was created by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay who is also associated with writing of our national song "Vande Mataram" which was widely sung during the Swadeshi movement in Bengal.
2.The image was painted by Abaindranath Tagore and it was depicted as an ascetic figure, calm, composed, divine and spiritual.
