 It is an assembly of elected representatives who exercise Supreme Political authority on behalf of the people. 

 At the State level this is called Legislature or Legislative Assembly.

 Parliament is the final authority for making laws in any country.

 Parliaments all over the world exercise same control and those who run the govt. In India this control is direct and full.
 
 Parliament controls all the money that govt have.
 
 Parliament is the highest forum of discussion and debate on public issues and National policies.
