Hii i would like to explain the concept of arithematic progressions,
Lets take a,b,c,d be any 4 real numbers such that the gap between a and b , b and c , c and d all be equal to any constant say p . So using simple operations we can say that b-a = c-b = d-c = p . So such numbers are said to be in arithematic progression till this pattern game continues and we have devised some formulae to find any of the in between term we desire to know , lets say we wanna know a(n) so to reach to that we have to have the term number (here that is n) and the common gap or difference in between which will depend on its specific pattern (lets take d) so the formula is a(n)=a + (n-1)d.
Next formula is to find the sum of all the terms involved in such a pattern i.e
S(n) = n/2 (2a + (n-1)d). i will give u an example at last of this and let u find the sum of the terms and do some fun with this stuff : 2,4,6,8,10,----
