Hey friend here is your answer

Decentralisation - the process when power is taken away from centre and state government and given to the local government.

The following changes were made towards decentralisation in the constitution of India through the amendment made in 1992

1. A separate and independent election commission was set up to conduct free and fair local elections

2. It became mandatory to hold local elections after every 5 years

3. . One third of the seats were to be reserved for women

4. Sears were also reserved for scheduled tribes (STs), scheduled castes (SCs) and other backward classes (OBCs)

5. . The central government was required to share some powers with local government .
