there are different methods to extract metals from its ore. there are three methods
1)for high reactive metals:- electrolytic refining us done.
2)for medium reactive:-calcination and roasting.
3)for low reactive- it is sepereated manually by roasting

ANSWER:
The extraction of metal from the ore can be done by these 3 processes:
- Reduction of metal from ore with carbon
- Electrolysis
- Usage of more reactive metal than the current one.
EXPLANATION:
The ores that are present in oxide form are usually reduced or extracted with the help of carbon. The ore is heated with carbon to reduce the ore to its metal equivalent.
Ionic compounds like NaCl, MgO are extracted by the method of electrolysis as the electrostatic force in them is strong and passing an external current may break the bond between the elements.
The rest of the metal are extracted by using more reactive metals as using carbon will form metal carbides.
