The first world war lead to a heavy war expenditure on India in the purchase of weapon through financial war loan.

Texes were increased, custom duty were raised and Income Tax was introduced.

First world war time period or the early 19's was one of the most tough times for the world history.

India was also affected in many ways due to the first world war.

Some of the problems that India faced during the first world war were:

1)India was under the British rule at that time period.That's why the Britishers extracted our national economy at that time.

2) Prices of different necessary goods were raised.

3) Indian civilians were forced to join British army to take part in the first world war.

4) Indian exporting trade was also badly affected.

5) Britishers became more cruel due to the major losses in the war.
