The five output devices I am going to say are:-

  • Monitor.
  • Printer.
  • Headphones.
  • Computer Speakers.
  • Projector.

MONITOR

A traditional monitor is only used to display (output) information from a computer and provides no source of input. For this reason, a computer monitor is considered an output device

PRINTER

A printer is an external hardware output device that takes the electronic data stored on a computer or other device and generates a hard copy. For example, if you created a report on your computer, you could print several copies to hand out at a staff meeting. Printers are one of the most popular computer peripherals and are commonly used to print text and photos. The picture is an example of an inkjet computer printer, the Lexmark Z605.

HEADPHONES

Headphones and earphones consist of a pair of small loudspeakers which are worn over or in the ears.

headphonesThey are connected either by cable or wirelessly to a device such as a computer, radio or MP3 player.

A transducer converts the electronic signals from the device into sounds which can then be heard by the user via the phones.

COMPUTER SPEAKERS

Speakers

Example: "Most computers allow you to hook up external speakers using the sound output jack."

Speakers are popular output devices used with computer systems. They receive audio input from the computer's sound card and produce audio output in the form of sound waves. Most computer speakers are active speakers, meaning they have an internal amplifier which allows you to increase the volume, or amplitude, of the sound. Speakers usually come in pairs, which allows them to produce stereo sound from two separate audio channels.

PROJECTOR

Projector is also an output deivce.

It is used to show presentations. There two main types of projector.

Simple Projector

Multemedia projector.
