The devices which are used to prevent autogamy are: The male and the female reproductive organs in the flower do not get matured at the same time (protandry and protogyny). ... The stigma of the female flower does not recognise the pollen from the anther of the flower on same plant (self-incompatibility)Outbreeding devices are mechanisms which are followed and adapted by the plants in order to prevent self pollination.
