- Lakshadweep Islands group is lying close to the Malabar Coast of Kerala. - This group is composed of small coral Islands.
- It covers small area of 32 sq. km.
- Kavarati is the capital of Lakshadweep.
Andaman and Nicobar:
- These islands are close to equator and have thick forest cover.
- They are bigger in size and more in number.
- There is a great diversity of flora and fauna.
