We know that plants cannot directly move from one place to another but it can grow towards the various environmental components which are necessary for themselves.

For example:

1)Plants need solar energy for food production, that's why plant grow towards the source of solar rays.

This movement of plants is also known as the phototropic movement.

2)Plants usually grow upwards which means they grow in the opposite direction of the gravitational force.

This movement is known as the geotropic movement.

3)And when any plant growth direction is manipulated by different chemical substances, then it is known as the chemotropic movement.
