Answer: There are multiple types of preservation that can be done at home. Three methods are listed below.

Explanation:

- Freezing: Freezing food items helps prevent bacteria from growing and consuming the item.

- Sun-drying: When raw food items like tomatoes are sun-dried, the heat dehydrates them. The drawback of this method is that it takes several days for the food to complete getting sun-dried, so we must dry them in the summer season only, but after this, they can be kept away and preserved for enormous amounts of time.

- Pickling: This method of preservation has to be carried out with utmost care as incorrect pickling can lead to early spoilage. Usually, salt, vinegar or alcohol is added in large amounts in this preservation technique. Pickled foods can last for up to a year.

Other methods of preservation are salting, refrigerating, canning, smoking etc.
