The three physiological effects of auxin are :

  1. CONTROL OF ABSCISSION- In some plants shedding of leave,flower or fruits takes place before maturation.Auxin delay fruit fall until they are fully mature .
  2. STIMULATING ROOT BRANCHING -many new plants are usually propagated by stem cutting. Auxin helps in growing the roots out of the stem cutting .
  3. CONTROLLING SEEDLING ORIENTATION -Cells grow more in areas of the plant where auxin are highly concentrated.
