China rose:
- China rose is the natural indicator which is prepared by boiling the petals of the china rose and the apply that paste on the paper.
- It turns to dark pink when tested with acids and turns green when tested with bases.
- It shows no change when tested with neutral substances.
Litmus:
- Litmus is obtained from lichens.
- We use red or blue litmus paper to recognize whether the substance is acidic or basic.
- Blue litmus turns red when tested with acidic substance and red litmus turns blue when tested with basic substance.
