Hi

Here is ur answer

PLANCK'S QUANTUM THEORY

⊕ To explain black body radiation this theory produced.

⊕ Neither emission nor absorption of radiation by an object is continuous.

⊕ Emission and absorption takes place in the form of discrete packets called as quanta.

⊕ Quanta is a form of energy packet and the energy of quanta depends on frequency.

                                E ∝ V

       E = hv

                 E = hv/ λ

h = 6.6256 × 10 ^-27 erg /s

  = 6.6256 × 10 ^-34 J.s

⊕ Radiation has a dual nature, that means both particles and waves emission and absorption takes place in the form of particles propagatiion of waves.

 (Eem = nhv) ----⇒  Quantisation of energy

Hope it helps U

All objects with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K, -273.15 oC) emit energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. A blackbody is a theoretical or model body which absorbs all radiation falling on it, reflecting or transmitting none.
