Max Planck proposed his famous quantum theory of radiation.The main postulates of the theory are

1.the energy emitted observed by a body discontinuously in the form of small packets.

2. each packet of energy is called quantum.

3. a quantum of energy emitted in the form of light is known as photon.

4. the energy of photon is not fixed it is directly proportional to the frequency of radiation. [see the pic.]

5.a body can observe or imit only one photon or whole number multiple of 8 energy lives than a point I'm is neither limited nor can be observed.
