Verbal communication involves the use of words or speech or auditory language to express emotions or thoughts or exchange information. Non-verbal communication involves the use of visual or non-verbal cues such as facial expressions, eye or body movements, gestures, and many more without speaking. According to the Webster dictionary, audio-visual aids is defined as "training or educational materials directed at both the senses of hearing and the sense of sight, films, recordings, photographs, etc. used in classroom instructions, library collections or the likes". Audio-visual aids can be classified into 3 groups – (1) purely auditory; (2) Purely visual; (3) combined audio-visual.
