our ear consists of three parts outer middle and inner ear.The pinna of the outer ear picks up sound and transfers it to the middle ear and strikes eardum. the ear ossicles the transfers the sound wave to inner ear. The cochlea contains hair like processes which transfers the impulse to the brain through auditory nerve.
