Explain briefly the different mode of reproduction used by single organism
Answers
Answer:
Asexual reproduction is a such type of reproduction in which reproduction takes place by only single organism.
Explanation:
There are six types of asexual reproduction takes place:-
1) fission
In it, the parent organism divides into two more new organism, i.e. daughter cell.
Fission is also a two types:-
A) Binary Fission
In this, parent organism splits up to form two new organisms. Ex- Amoeba.
B) Multiple Fission
In this, parent organisms splits to form many daughter cells. Ex- Plasmodium.
2) Budding
In it small outgrowth appears from the parent plant. This outgrowth develop more to form bud. When bud is fully formed, it detaches itself from parent plant under favourable conditions, develops into new organisms. Ex- Hydra.
3) Spore Formation
In it, plant produces many microscopic spore, which fully developed are shed off and under favourable conditions, develops into new organism. Ex- Rhizopus.
4) Vegetative Reproduction
In this, many plants reproduce by their vegetative parts like roots, buds, stems and leaves. So, the formation of new individuals by vegetative plants is called Vegetative Reproduction. Ex- Bryophyllum.
5) Regeneration
In some organisms, small cut parts of their body can grow to form whole new organisms complete in all respects. The process of getting back a full organism, from its body parts is called regeneration. Ex- Planaria.
6) Fragmentation
The breaking up of the body of a simple multicellular organism into two or more pieces on maturing, each which subsequently grows to form a complete new organism, is called fragmentation. Ex- Spirogyra.
