Hey dear,

● Answer -
Magnifying power of compound microscope decreases with increase in focal length and increases with decrease in focal length of objective lens.

● Solution -
Magnifying power of compound microscope -
M = Mo.Me
M = (L/fo)(1+D/fe)
M ∝ 1/fo

From this we can say that, magnifying power of compound microscope is inversely proportional to focal length of objective lens.
