Cardiac Cycle

↪ Cardiac cycle is the series of changes that occur due to heart beats . It is an involuntary action which means that the action cannot be controlled by the central nervous system , that is the brain and spinal cord.

↪ The cardiac cycle is responsible for pumping the blood to all the parts of the blood and helps in circulation of blood .

↪ There are 4 chambers in the heart - left atrium , right atrium , left ventricle and right ventricle .

↪ There are 4 phases in the cardiac cycle - 2 each of the diastole and systole .

↪ The circulation is called double circulation since the blood travels through the heart to time .

↪ First the deoxygenated blood of the body goes to the heart , then they are sent to the lungs for purification and again it enters the heart . Then the oxygenated blood is sent to the whole body .
