Explanation:

chain isomerism which consist of change of chain for example

h3c - ch2 - ch2 - c h3

has two structure possible. in compare

h3c - ch2 - ch3

only one structure is possible.in both of them the no. of carbon chain is different so it is called chain isomerism.
