explain Complex tissue in plant

The complex tissue consist of more than one type of cells.All the cells coordinate to perform a common function.they transport water,minerals salts,food material to various parts of plant body.

They are of 2 types:

1)Xylem

2)Phloem

They are conducting tissue and called as vascular tissue.

it is a permanent tissue.it is made up of more than one type of cell.there are two types of complex tissue xylem and pholem.xylem consist of tracheids, vessels,xylem parenchyma,and xylem fibres.the most cells of them are dead and thick walls.they transport water and minerals. pholem consist of sieve tubes ,companions cell,phloem fibre and phloem parenchyma. it transport food in both directions.except for phloem fibres,phloem cells are living cells
