Purpose :-

• it is used to transfer data between processor, memory and input - output device.

Length

• it is of 8 bit length for 8085.

Direction

• Data bus is bidirectional.

Note

• There is no repeated data bus in 8085 the lower eighth address line can be used either as address or data with the help of a signal known as address latch enable.
