Defects in casting is an undesired irregularity in a metal casting process. Means, when we cast the metal, the irregularity is formed during casting and it is undesired.
These are the types of defects in casting -
1 ) Mold material defects.
2) Pouring metal defects.
3) Gas porosity.
4) Shrinkage defects.
5) Metallurgical defects.
