Heyy mate..here’s ur answer!!!!

Meaning :

Deforestation, clearance, clearcutting or clearing is the removal of a forest or stand of trees from land which is then converted to a non-forest use. Deforestation can involve conversion of forest land to farms, ranches, or urban use. The most concentrated deforestation occurs in tropical rainforests.

Effects :

The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people.

Prevention :

You can contribute to the efforts against deforestation by doing these easy steps:

*Plant a Tree where you can.

*Go paperless at home and in the office.

*Buy recycled products and then recycle them again.

*Buy certified wood products.

*Support the products of companies that are committed to reducing deforestation.

Deforestation

(As name itself tells us it regarding "forest" , and "removing forest")

Deforestation basically means cutting of trees . so that forested land may later be used for humans modern life USE . like making furniture (out of woods) or making buildings ( by clearing forested lands )

=> DEFORESTATION SHOULD BE PREVENTED BECAUSE :

  • Trees and plants absorb CO2 and produces O2 , so that we humans are able to breath and live our life .
  • trees and plants bind up the soil together. , further preventing soil erosion..
  • Trees and plants absorb the rain water and refill the underground water table , because of concreted land many, there is no place left for penetrating of water and hence, many parts of Chennai are facing problems like water scarcity .
  • if we continue cutting trees no place would be left for penetrating of water and obviously no oxygen. and hence it needs to be prevented very much.

Thanks
