Explain difference between 3 storage types volatile, non-volatile and stable in terms of i/o cost

Volatile memory are those kind of memory  which stores memory as long as the power  is turned on.

Volatile memory in contast to non volatile memory doesnt lose its content when power is turned off.Well non volatile memory has a continous flow of power supply and hence its doesnt require to refresh its memory.
