Answer:

Interphase is composed of G1 phase (cell growth), followed by S phase (DNA synthesis), followed by G2 phase (cell growth). At the end of interphase comes the mitotic phase, which is made up of mitosis and cytokinesis and leads to the formation of two daughter cells.

INTER PHASE IS ALSO KNOWN AS RESTING PHASE OF THE CELL.

IT CONSIST UP OF 3 PHASES :

  • G1 PHASE (GAP 1 PHASE)
  • S PHASE (SYNTHESIS PHASE)
  • G2 PHASE (GAP 2 PHASE )

G1 PHASE:

  1. CELL BECOMES METABOLICALLY ACTIVE

S PHASE :

  1. DNA REPLICATION TAKE PLACE
  2. PROTEIN SYNTHESIS TAKE PLACE

G2 PHASE :

  1. IN THIS PHASE CELL PREPARE ITSELF FOR ACTUAL DIVISION.
