Given :

Equation 8x-3y=15

To Find :

Standard form of equation &

Values of a , b ,c

Solution:

•Given equation is 8x-3y=15

Clearly, it is a equation of straight line .

• Standard form of equation of straight line is ax + by + c = 0

• where , a & b are coefficient of x & coefficient of y respectively , c is arbitruary constant or parameter .

•So, standard form of 8x-3y=15 will be 8x - 3y - 15 = 0

•Now ,

Value of a = 8

Value of b = -3

&

Value of c = -15

• A straight line can hold maximum two parameters .

• Except standard form , equation of straight line can be written in slope itntercept form , intercept form , point slope form , two point form , Normal form.
