• Apical meristem

Apical meristem: Apical meristem is present at the growing tips of stems and roots and increase the length of the stem and the root.

Intercalary: Intercalary meristem are usually present at the base of the nodes , base of the internodes or at the base of the leaf . this tissue helps in the growth of the leaves and internodes . so, this tissue is responsible for the growth of leaves and internodes ..


Lateral meristem: This tissue is found in all woody plants and in some herbaceous ones , consist of vascular cambium . they produce secondary tissue from a ring vascular cambium in stems and roots
