Soil is the organic parts of small breaking rocks.

Types of Soil :-

There are 6 types of soil in India .

They are :-

Alluvial soil :- In general, this is the most fertile type of soil and best suited for the cultivation of cripes like wheat and rice.

Red soil :The colour of this so is due to the presence of iron oxide. The texture may vary from gravelly to loamy. This soil is found in parts of Tamil nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra , Andra प्रदेश, orissa, झारखंड, and west बंगाल.

Black soil :- It is formed by the weathering of volcanic rocks (molten rock spewed out during eruption, this soil is found in the parts of Maharashtra, गुजरात, एमपी, karnataka अना Andra प्रदेश.

Lateritiv soil :this type of soil in tropical countries. To found in western ghats ana northeastern states.

Desert soil :- found in Rajasthan, गुजरात, ana लद्दाख. It is not fertile.

Mountain soil :- this type os soil is in himalayas regions where it is of often acidic.
