in mouth sugar is converted into maltose by an enzyme callea ptylin secreates from salivary glands.

in stomach gastric juice is secreated from gastric glands and it contain three enzyme pepsin,HCL acid and mucus.pepsin converts protien into pepton,Hcl make the food acidic for good digestion of food and kills harmful germs.And mucus make a inner protective layer to protect stomach from HCL.
