_____

★Dimensions★
________________________________________________________
→ What are Dimensions ?
=> The basic units raised to the exponent of the number of times they are present in A physical quantity .
=> We have the following units for that :
• Mass - [ M ]
• Length - [ L ]
•Time [ T ]
=> These are the three basic units . Using dimensions we find the dimensional formula of any quantity .
Let's take an example . Let's find the dimensions of Force .
Force = Mass × Acceleration
=> [ M ] [ LT^-2] = [ M L T^-2 ] ✔
______________________________
★Applications of Dimensions :
===========================
✔ They are used to check the correctness of a relation .
✔They can be used to derive the relationship between different physical quantity.
✔They are used to convert units from one system to another .
______________________________
★Limitations of Dimensions :
=========================
✔They cannot be used for exponents .
✔They don't tell if a quantity is scalar / vector .
✔They cannot be used for dimensionless terms.

Dimensions
Dimensions of any physical quantity are those powers which are raised on fundamental units to express its unit. The expression which shows how and which of the base quantities represent the dimensions of a physical quantity, is called the dimensional formula
Applications of Dimensions
To check the accuracy of physical equations.
To change a physical quantity from one system of units to another system of units.
To obtain a relation between different physical quantities.
Force = Mass × Acceleration
=> [ M ] [ LT^-2] = [ M L T^-2 ]
