Dipole-dipole forces are strong attractive forces between the positive end of one polar molecule and the negative end of another polar molecule.
An example of a dipole–dipole interaction is seen in hydrogen chloride (HCl):
the relatively positive end of a polar molecule attracts the relatively negative end of another HCl molecule.
