The temptation to cheat just a little whispers that it provides the easy way to wealth. Why do things the hard way if just cutting a few corners can make your life so much easier?

But God gave King Solomon the wisdom to see beyond the short-term “success” of some who choose the way of dishonesty. Some few may achieve wealth for a while; and some, for a fairly long time. But in the end, lying, cheating and dishonesty will not pay.

On the other hand, the slow and steady increase of a diligent worker will accumulate over time. This may not be evident in the early years; but in the long run, hard work and honesty will provide by far the best result. The physical blessings will only be the tip of the iceberg of the true eternal spiritual blessings.

Answer:

Dishonesty never pays in the long run

It is true that dishonesty never pays in the long run. We are all aware of the famous saying that 'Honesty is the best policy '. One should always be honest in life. Dishonest people may succeed in life, but the success will only be short lived. In the long run, they always pay price for their dishonesty. A person, who is not truthful, is bound to make mistakes and as soon as it gets revealed, he stands to lose everybody's trust. Therefore, being honest is a better decision, as it assures a good reputation along with a good name.
