What is double displacement reaction?
The reaction where the two reactants swap one of their components of their compounds is called double displacement reaction.
Types of double displacement reaction
There are two types of double displacement reaction. They are as follows :-
Precipitate reaction :- The reaction where the two reactants swap one of their components of their compounds and simultaneously form a powder like substance that does not mix in water called precipitate is called precipitate double displacement reaction.
Neutralisation reaction :- The reaction where the two reactants swap one of their components of their compounds and simultaneously react to form products of pH 7 is called neutralisation double displacement reaction.
