Drip irrigation is a method to provide water to the plants or crops without wasting any drop, in this a pipe is passed through the field with small holes by which water is allowed to pass drop by drop. It is used to save water from overflowing.

In this system holes of the pipe running horizontally allow water to fall drip by drop.

This system saves a lot of water and also save water lost due to evaporation.

It is a boon in regions where there is shortage of water.
