when electrolysis of water takes place hydrogen and oxygen are released

oxygen is at the positive terminal of battery and hydrogen will be at the negative terminal of the battery

volume of hydrogen will be more than oxygen because 1 molecule of water contains 2 atoms of h2 and 1 atom of 0

hope it helps u mate...........
