Electornagativity : the tendency of an atom to gain an electron to complete its outermost shell is known as electornagativity

the degree of polarity of covalent bond is given by as dipole movement, if the the dipole movement is grater than zreo it is know as polarity in the bond if it is equal to zreo it mean that there is know polarity in the bond
so we need to find the dipole movement
that is given by product of charge and the distance between them

Electronegativity is the strength an atom has to attract a bonding pair of electrons to itself. When a chlorine atom covalently bonds to another chlorine atom, the shared electron pair is shared equally. The electron density that comprises the covalent bond is located halfway between the two atoms.
