Answer:An electronic dimmer has the ability to switch electrical currents.In germany the voltage in the power supply is 230V and works with aternating current.This means that the voltage change its polarity per hundreth of a second and always takes the value 0(sinusoidal curve).

Explanation: ADVANTAGES:-

1.  It reduces light output which helps in long lasting of the light bulbs.

2. It helps in energy savings.

3. It helps to adjust the ambience of a room.

                    DISADVANTAGES:-

1.  It produce hummming sounds when we lower its brightness level.

2. It  also cause the electric current to flicker at rapid pace.
