Electrophile is electron deficient i.e have +charge.eg - Cl2 ,Br2,BF3 these form electrophile and like CH3+,NO2+,NO+ are some electrophile.

• Elctrophile consist of two different words:-
°Electro - electron
°phile - loving
These are the atoms (can be molecules also) which are electron deficient which carry +ve charge. They attack on the electron rich molecules or atoms.
• Some electrophiles are:-
° Hydrogen cation (H+),
° Nitrosonium (NO+) cation ,
° CH3+ cation,
° Cl+ cation ,
° NO2+cation , etc
