Explanation:
The early embryo embedded in the wall of uterus. This process is called implantation. Here, the developing embryo exchanges materials from the mother body through a structure called placenta. The placenta supplies oxygen, hormones, nutrients and water from the mother to the embryo. On the other hand, it also transfers waste materials (CO2 and urea) from the embryo to the mother's blood. The embryo gets surrounded by a fluid-filled sac called amnion or amniotic sac. It is made up of a protective membrane that encloses the amniotic fluid, which acts as a water bath and an excellent shock absorber for the young, developing embryo.
