Explain endemism with examples.

It is an ecological term where a plant/animal lives only in particular location as a specific island, habitat type, nation or other explained area.  

Reverse of endemism is cosmopolitan distribution which is optional thing for species where endemic is pre-cinctive and which applies to species that are restricted to explained geographical region.

Many species of lemur are endemic to island of Madagascar.  

Two types of endemism are there i.e. paleoendemism and neoendemism.
