Time Dilation. A clock in a moving frame will be seen to be running slow, or "dilated" according to the Lorentz transformation. The time will always be shortest as measured in its rest frame. The time measured in the frame in which the clock is at rest is called the "proper time".

Answer:
The theory of special relativity explains how space and time are linked for objects that are moving at a consistent speed in a straight line. ... Simply put, as an object approaches the speed of light, its mass becomes infinite and it is unable to go any faster than light travels.
