Euclid's division lemma is a proved statement that has been universally accepted.

It states that given two positive integers a & b , there exist two unique integers q and r satisfying the condition
a = bq +r , where 0 ≤ r ≥ b

So, for example
12 can be written as

12 = 4*3 + 0
or

47 can be written as
47 = 2*23 + 1
