Excretion in cockroaches is performed by malphigian tubules.Each tubule is lined by glandular and ciliated cells.

They absorb nitrogenous waste products and convert them to uric acid which is excreated through hindgut.

Cockroaches excrete uric acid hence are they are called uricotelic.

In addition, the fat body, nephrocyte and urecose glands also helps in excretion.
