the fourth state of a metal is plasma. It is also the fifth state of a matter. So the forth state of a matter matter is plasma. The fifth state of a substance is Bose Einstine confensate. We know that an element is formed of nucleus and electron. The electrons get separated from the atom. Nucleus is also made of proton and neutrons. Then they also get separated. Now this distracted phase of matter is known as plasma.plasma occurs naturally in stars for high temperature.

you can also say that the fourth state of matter is a mixture of free electrons and ions.
