1. the current flowing in domestic wiring at a particular timing depends on power rating of appliances used .
2. if too many appliances of high rating like electric iron ,tv switched on at same time they draw an extremely large current from circuit this is known as overloading .
3. due to extremely large current flowing through wire the copper wire of household wiring get heated to a very high temperature and may result into fire .
4. to disconnect Electric Supply when short circuit or overloading August so that electric fires are prevented a safety device known as fuse is used in the circuit .
