example:- hot iron plate are immersed into molten zinc then zinc oxide is formed on iron.

The process of depositing a desired metal over a metal object by electrolysis i.e. passing an electric current through an electrolyte, is known as electroplating. For e.g. chromium (a non-coroding metal) is deposited on the taps used in washrooms or on wheel rims of the bicycle and etc.
