Some of the most common plastids include:

ChloroplastsChromoplastsGerontoplastsand Leucoplasts..

Function..=
Plastids are the site of manufacture and storage of important chemical compounds used by the cell. They often contain pigments used in photosynthesis, and the types of pigments in a plastid determine the cell's color.

Plastids are of three types:

1)leucoplast= Leucoplasts help in storage of protein, starch and oil.
2)chloroplast= Chloroplasts are green plastids because of the presence of chlorophyll. Chloroplasts occur abundantly in green leaves, and also to some extent in green parts of the shoot.
By trapping solar energy, green plastids manufacture food through photosynthesis
3) chromoplast= Chromoplasts provide colored to various flowering parts.

hope it helps!!!!
